About
Rukmini Mehta is a PGA-accredited golf professional — an NGAI 'A' Category coach (PGA Europe) — and sports-management specialist, currently the Golf Development Professional at St Michael's Golf Club on Sydney's spectacular coastal cliffs.
Golf found her early: growing up in Kolkata she took up the game as a child alongside her brother, played off a five handicap as an amateur, and made history as India's youngest female professional golfer.
Her coaching career began at the historic Royal Calcutta Golf Club and Tollygunge Club before senior coaching roles took her across Asia and the Middle East. At Yas Links Abu Dhabi — ranked the #1 course in the Middle East and among the world's best — she coached players for the Emirates National Development Program in partnership with the Emirates Golf Federation. In Jakarta she led the junior program, ladies groups and individual tuition at Pondok Indah, host of the Indonesia Open, the Indonesia Masters and golf at the 2018 Asian Games.
Rukmini is passionate about player development and growing participation in golf — particularly through structured junior and women's programs — pairing an energetic, personal coaching style with Trackman ball-flight data and K-Vest 3D motion analysis.
